Keypads can be installed to your gate in addition to key fobs. You can install keypads at the front or rear of the gate based on whether you want them to help with property entry and exit. The keypads can be wireless or hardwired and can be standalone or part of a modular access system.

In the event that you forget your key fob, a keypad can serve as a backup option. This can be particularly beneficial in situations where there are multiple gate users, and it may not be appropriate for everyone to have a key fob (such as in shared properties or commercial premises).

If the gate already has an intercom on the outside, a standalone keypad on the back of the gate can be a helpful addition for easy exit.

Additionally, you may want to grant access to certain trusted individuals who visit regularly, such as a gardener or window cleaner. Changing codes is a simple process, making it a convenient option for temporary access to individuals like workmen or other visitors.

A free exit induction loop can be configured to all types of automation. When a vehicle is within close proximity of the induction loop this will trigger the system and allow vehicle exit.

These can be programmed in conjunction with an optional extra timer so that the free exit function is only active during a programmed timeframe. This can add security to your property and/or can run in conjunction with normal working hours where the property has a commercial use.

As with the voice only system the occupant answers a call, and may allow entry, but also has the benefit of seeing a full colour picture of the visitor on the monitor. Some systems also have the option of memory, so that if calls are made whilst you are out, you are able to review the images of the caller which are stored on the monitor.
